Temecula, California is a great city located in the southwestern part of Riverside County. It has a population of over 100,000 people and in 1989, it was incorporated. Temecula is bordered by an Indian reservation called Pechanga Indian Reservation and parts of San Diego located at the south of it and to the north is Murrieta, California. Temecula is part of the southwestern anchor of the inland empire area.

Temecula is also a big tourist destination with several places being big for stopping and checking out. There is the Temecula Valley Wine Country, Temecula Valley Polo Club, Old Town Temecula, championship golf courses, the Temecula Valley International Film Festival, as well as the Temecula Valley Wine and Balloon Festival. Not to mention that the beautiful resorts attract a large amount of tourists which helps to contribute to the city’s economy.

Temecula, California has more of a Mediterranean climate. August is quite hot while December is very cold. Most of the rainy weather happens between November to March but there is not a lot of precipitation during winter months, unless it is an El Nino year. That means that Temecula is the best place for fun in the sun and you don’t really have to worry too much about the humidity.

Temecula is home to 39 different parks, 11 community centers, and has over 22 miles of trails that you can hike and trek. There are plenty of youth sports to be done within Temecula such as football, soccer, basketball, roller hockey, and so much more.

Temecula Valley is a big part of wine country as it has over 40 wineries and over 3500 acres of vineyards. Wine country is just a few miles away from Old Town Temecula, and it has a lot of tasting rooms that you can enjoy as well. Near Lake Skinner is where the Temecula Valley Wine & Balloon festival is held every year and this festival has hot air balloon rides, wine tastings, and live entertainment that is provided by the local wineries in the area.

If you enjoy golf, then you can use the local golf courses such as Temecula Creek Inn, CrossCreek, SCGA Member’s Course, Pala Mesa, Temeku Hills and Pechanga’s Journey. Then you can head over to Old Town Temecula. Here you will find a large collection of historical buildings from the 1890s such as specialty food stores, hotels, antique stores, gift and collectible stores, restaurants, boutiques, antique dealers and museums. Old Town Temecula is home for the Rod Run car show, Santa’s Electric Parade Show, Art & Street Painting Festival, Western Days, and a lot of summer entertainment and it has a growing nightlife for those looking for something to do on the weekends.
